I am currently helping out in a first grade classroom at Pueblo Elementary and could not be any happier! I love my mentor teacher and adore each student in the class. I feel as though I am learning so much during my time there and look forward to all that is to come. Tomorrow I have the privilege to sit in on a parent/teacher conference! I can't wait =)
I have no idea what to expect but know it will be a wonderful learning opportunity for me. I am curious to see the language that is used, topics addressed, and how issues will be resolved. I feel so lucky that my mentor teacher invited me to be apart of the conference. I hope to gain a better understanding of how the process works. Wish me luck!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those parent conferences with our class. I only got to sit in one of them. All the other ones I planned to sit in on cancelled. I asked to go. My teacher didn't mind. The one I did sit in on I learned that sometimes as first year teachers parents do not have confedince with us. I hope to be a little different when I have my own class. I want to build that trust with the parents. I want them to see I will work with them so their child can be the best that they can be.
