January News
Dear Parents,
The children's knowledge of sounds and sight words is rapidly growing. I'd like to thank you for your support and practice at home. It's paying off!
This month we will be adding some new sight words to our list. They include: good, had, do, are, like, and now. Please practice these along with the other sight words already sent home. We will also be learning some new sounds that include: "ou", "ow", "oo", and "ay". This is a lot of new information and skills but I am certain we can achieve it through practice.
Our math lessons will be identifying and copying patterns, comparing objects by weight, and graphing. We will also continue our work with money and telling time.
Winter is a great season to lead to great conversations between you and your child. Topics can be anything from the weather, what you wear, holidays celebrated, to the Earth rotating. I strongly encourage you to explore these topics at home.
Sincerely,
Mollie Casale
