Dear Parents,
With this being a short month at school, we will be extra busy!
The children are eager learners and really enjoying their language arts program. We will be introducing new sounds this month and reviewing our sight words daily. The children are beginning to learn how to write simple sentences, how exciting! We will also continue our work with the "th", "ch", and "sh" sounds until January. Don't forget to write them as well as say them when practicing at home. Also, extra practice on the sight words at home will be most helpful and beneficial to your child.
Math will be reviewing the how to write the numbers 1-20, spelling the numbers 1-10, and reviewing money and telling time activities.
We will be enjoying several literature pieces about "houses" this month as well as creating our very own gingerbread houses! The children are so excited for this art/food project!
I'd like to extend my warmest wishes to you for a happy holiday season!
